This is a substantial crop from an image taken with a K1 + old Vivitar 80~200mm f4 + Raynox 150. DOF is very shallow, but look at the detail on the vertical petals.

Normally I want the eye lens in focus, I dunno why, but I found the one wing marking that looks like an eye intriguing... and the fact that the emerging bud's on the trunk are already at full color strength kind cool too... So much interesting stuff to observe in nature, it never gets boring.

Eric, it is totally amazing the amount of beauty in that one wing & your photo captured the color & detail. Photographs can be good in many different respects. By my standards both of those first 2 shots are real good. From the creatures to the clouds, nature has so very much to offer...like you said, never gets boring.
Best Regards, Bob

Frederic, your style of series is always a delight to view. A flower; landscape; a green back red caped woodpecker; and architecture, a satisfying mix not unlike your meals...
Best Regards, Bob

Your photo of the child is a cute one, but the dog in the basket sure puts a smile on my face. Love the pose.

Thank you very much and thanks for the ID. I was unable to find that in my book. BTW, I love the different angles or POV of your flower shots and the quality & composition. Your photos inspire me to do better.

longbow, that series is a fantastic capture, very nice work. Tell your wife that I am grateful to her for having you get that lens... Did you use AFC or simply spot and multiple frames ?

And by the way, when I get the time I will find Osprey that provide a closer proximity for my shooting.
Best Regards, Bob
