Absolutely awesome.

I have often noted, that many of my images wouldn't be improved by using a K-1 because they are cropped so heavily, but that always leaves the question, ya but what if you could get the image using the full FF sensor?

Its the same line of thinking "well I'm never going to get a decent hummingbird image with an 8x10 film camera, but what if I could?", only less extreme. For me it's a huge question. Do you trade less chance of getting the image, for the chance of getting a much better image, if you do get it.

But then, that's always been the large format vs small format dilemma.

How about guilty pleasure of endless cropping?

Once you've cropped a K-1 image to APS-c size, you'll get more of those guilty pleasures from your K-3. 24 MP to crop instead of 15 MP. Getting more cropping depends on an image that uses the whole 36 MP, or at least more than 24 of it.

Unless you leave ISO100 or need the better shadow recovery possibility provided by the K-1...
I good light the K-3 gives you more detail but if the light gets not so good then I find that the K-1 gives me better results.

How did you get 15? It's either 24, or 27 depends on how to calculate based on 1.5 crop ratio (I don't know what's the right way)

1.5 crop gives you 15-16 MP on a 36 MP sensor

You divide the 36 MP with the square of 1.5, i.e 2.25 and this gives you 16
