I enjoy looking through this thread and I do every day. The K-1 and the photographers here are very impressive!

I finally got a chance to get up and try out my K-1 on a sunrise. These are pixel shift shots, taken this morning. I am very impressed by the increased dynamic range you get with PS. Also, the D FA 28-105, my copy at least, isn't really super sharp at 105mm. Pixel shift takes care of that. I processed these first in DCU (white balance, Fine Sharpening) and then made a few adjustments in LR. I also ran them through Nik Color Efex just to boost saturation a little.
The scene reminds me of movie "The Patriot" starred by Mel Gibson. Nice colors and mood.

The air was unusually still this morning so I decided to try pixel shift on one of my roses...

Various with k1

These are a collection done with the K1. Lenses used 30mm f2.8, 55mm f1.8, & 85mm f1.8. Its amazing how these lenses work great with the K1. Very pleased with the camera and have no regrets. Here is the link to the photos. Also was considering the K3ii or K70 but the K1 won on the grounds of high iso and dynamic range. Also felt my lenses were crying out for ff usage and the ff is perfect for the purposes of which I use the camera. Its a great step up

Cracks at Hindostan.

I will say that my biggest struggle with the K-1 is getting adequate depth of field. f11 on full frame should be similar to f8 on APS-C, but I don't find it quite is and I often get softness in the distance of my landscapes as a result. I probably either need to stop down to f16 and lose a little to diffraction or figure out focus stacking (not an exciting proposition to me).

The blush is almost off the rose

It's late in the season and the decay has begun to show. But there is still some beauty in the petals as they give way to time and nature. K1 at Manual with Sigma DG Art 35mm 1:1.4. Near dusk.

Anyway, sharing one shot which i took but the flash battery is empty.

Edited by pushing +1.8 EV or 2 EV, reduce shadows and black with lightroom. and some luminance of colour to make the skin tone less orange.
