Anyway, sharing one shot which i took but the flash battery is empty.

Edited by pushing +1.8 EV or 2 EV, reduce shadows and black with lightroom. and some luminance of colour to make the skin tone less orange.
Good innit?!

I will say that my biggest struggle with the K-1 is getting adequate depth of field. f11 on full frame should be similar to f8 on APS-C, but I don't find it quite is and I often get softness in the distance of my landscapes as a result. I probably either need to stop down to f16 and lose a little to diffraction or figure out focus stacking (not an exciting proposition to me).
From apsc to ff, the depth of field is equivalent for 1 stop difference in aperture; but the hyperfocal distance is equivalent to a bit more than 1 stop of aperture. For example, the hyperfocal distance of apsc @ 23mm f8 is 2.23 meters, and on ff @ 35mm f16 it is 2.6 meters. Focusing on an area than is at or beyond the hyperfocal distance solves the problem. Regarding diffraction I I shot waterfalls with rocks in the foreground at f22 with the DFA24-70 on K1 and I did no see any diffraction effect.

Sure. And I use hyperfocal a lot with the DA 15 limited, where it is pretty easy to set it at 2 meters and f8. Here, I was at 29mm and f11 and the little longer equivalent focal length makes me not at hyperfocal distance. I was on a tripod, so I could have easily stopped down to f16, I just didn't think about it.

Got it.....I have always admired your shots with the 15mm. They are wonderful.

Better in the yard than in a hot box chomping away! Nothing stops a hungry squirrel, not rain, not ice, not heat....maybe a .22 or a shotgun?

Still loving the Crop Mode.......some Spanish Doves, unusual little birdies!

Regards!

If this shot doesn't sell anyone on the 28-105, nothing will. Outstanding shot.

It's amazing what you were able to pull from the darkness. Did you have to do a bit of noise reduction as well?
