Do you notice a difference between the K-1 in crop mode with the 15mm vs with your K-3?
This was a pixel shift image, so pretty close overall. With a regular crop image, the K3 will have a little more resolution and advantage of better dynamic range for the full frame goes away.

There was a problem with the site earlier today. Probably related to that.

I took my K1 and new 24-70 on a day hike along the Lewis River in SW Washington.

Here are a couple of my best images from that hike.

Sorry to hear your sad news. Pets just don't live long enough for us, but you have a fine picture for keepsake. We had cats die of kidney failure and there were suggestions of using the wrong cat food. Why so much kidney failure diagnosis?
I wonder if it is the easiest without exploratory surgery for the likes of cancer etc.?

Thats a big part of it. Generally, it's picked up quite late as the little fellows just can't tell us someting is wrong untill major symptons show..... then a lot of the time major subsequent damage has been done to the kidneys and there's not a lot that can be done. We could undertake some invasive biopsies etc to get a better handle on the underlying cause, but we don't want to put him through that given any likely prognosis isn't good..... and he's a nervous dog....my wife is very very fond of him and would easily spend a $100k to save him if it could be done.

With Bailey (8yo), we can, in hindsight, see that little things like extra paw licking etc change a few months ago. Now it's mostly managing his diet and excercise to maximise his remaining as time as pain free as we can.

On a pixel level you are correct, but the thing is that if you are viewing at the same size, you see noise creep in the shadow areas a lot faster if you are only working with the crop portion of the sensor rather than the whole thing. This is the difference between the screen and print buttons on DXO Mark.
