35mm macro ltd. Love this lens for museums. Vignetting on FF is easy to fix.

K1 with the amazing DFA 70-200

This lens is a beast to carry around, but it really delivers some amazing results.

K-1 and Samyang 135/2, the sharpest lens I've used thus far and an amazing match with the K-1

Beautiful bird! Have to ask, from the angle of view, were you shooting from a rooftop, balcony, or window or something? I would imagine you were dying to take a step or two to the left, heh heh.
Either way, thanks for sharing. Love eagles.

Nope. We were doing a reccy for an upcoming nighthawk survey and as usual we always stop at beautiful heart-shaped Tory Lake before we begin. The north bank of the lake lies about 25 meters above lake level. We had stopped at the rec site there so we could use the biffy. One of the people with me had wandered along the bank a bit when she gestured to us to come have a look at something. And there was this beautiful eagle perched atop a spruce right at eye level. I got four frames off before it flew and relocated itself across the lake. It is nice to see eagles in zoos but I always feel sorry for any captive animals. Seeing them hunting in the wild is a totally uplifting experience, especially ones only 15 meters away.

K1 + FA 31/1.8 Hand held above my head to shoot over the people in front of me. Live view screen rotated down works great in a crowd.
Last light on Mt.Rainier, Seattle in the foreground.
