Took this back in September.

Fun fact: didn't look throught the viewfinder, couldn't even see the camera in fact. Was sat in the passenger seat of a car doing about 70km/h and decided to shoot out of the window over the top of the roof at points where there weren't any houses/trees beside the road. Didn't even have to correct the horizon on this!

I kicked the yellow jacket off the feeder, cranked up the ISO to 1600, and made a few more exposures of the humming bird.

Pentax K-1, Sigma 300mm f2.8 EX APO DG lens.

A very close crop of the eye of this humming bird shows the detail available with the K-1.

The reflection in the eye of this little bird show the artificial flower of the feeder, the trees behind me to the left, and one of the support posts and the front porch of my house.

The K-1 and Sigma 300mm f2.8 EX DG APO lens are an awesome combination.

Great pix. Is the snowfall putting out most of the BC fires yet ? We were in Waterton, Alberta in August...smoke from forest fires...in BC, Alberta, Montana was terrible at that time. In Eastern Alberta in September, smoke had abated a bit there at that time.

We had some rain in the middle of September that dampened things. It was pretty miserable this summer.
