All great images. Love the DR on the last one. The first two are also amazing in detail and contrast. Thanks for sharing.

Love the minimalist style there. Well done mate.
Thanks peeps.

This was a stacked image for the Velvet 56, 1.6 aperture used mainly throughout with f4 being used for the 4 main petals. I also attempted something new that I had not really attempted before which was to add an overlay texture. I used a 'fur' one, reduced opacity down quite strongly to only 3%, I was aiming for very subtle effect.
What I have noticed is last night when making the edit in the dark the effect felt quite pronounced and apparent, but this morning in day time it's probably looking too subtle. Funny how staring at a screen in the dark can change things. Either way the image is best seen full screen so you can see the effect more, on my 43 inch 4k monitor it looks really nice, I hope to print it one day and sell.

Thanks again!

I went for a little after work XC ski tonight and brought the K-1ii and 24-70 in my pack. I also brought my little BeFree tripod and decided that thing is a pain in snow and I'm better off carrying my bigger tripod under these conditions. I managed to get a couple of reasonable shots of this pretty evening.

Dale, love the detail from this lens and the DR from this camera. Well done with those bright and contrasting images.

Irn Bru

Scotland's national fizzy pop drink, the ONLY drink in the world to outsell Coca-Cola (including bar trade), or at least it once was (not sure if still is).
Hard to describe it's flavour, certainly it is not healthy, the dentists call it 'The Devil's Mouthwash'!
Happy Burn's Night!

Clynelish 14

Not had this bottle before, a first for me and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. A hybrid of sorts with both sweetness and smokey in the one dram. I really haven't had a whisky that tried to combine those two elements, it was either one or the other. I have to say it I quite like it, seems to work well (but then I'm very easily pleased).

Amazing shots. I can see some more blur at the edge of the frame. Have you called the after sale service of the lens about de-centering issue?

Irn Bru - tastes like Schweppes Creaming Soda. Looks like Fanta.

I was thing of getting some for today on my way home, to go with my haggis to celebrate.

Great photographs. I've browsed your stream of model images on flickr, and I felt like all your images taken with the FA*85 have something special. However, the images taken with the new Sony are super sharp but they kinda lack something in the framing and facial expressions of the model, which may be because your attention got more involved into scrolling camera menus instead of blending of the mind with the mind of the subject. Am I right?
