Here are a couple of Pixel Shifted images from last night:

Golden Hour After the Storm (with DA *55 in full frame mode)

Sunset. (with DFA 24-70)

Both of these were shot pretty dark to keep highlights in the sky and then the foreground brightened about three stops.

Nice picture but very unfortunate your K1 broke. It's built like a tank. What kind of damage happened?
Here's the damage thread: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/190-pentax-k-1/325423-ugh-i-broke.html

My tripod is solid and not to blame. It's was my error for not tightening the ball head which made the camera flop down which unbalanced it.

Love that third shot! Good eye!

No, I didn't...I was too busy worrying about the fate of that poor little birdie, knowing how they tend to end up as a gourmet meal or fine cream gravy at your hands.

However, now that I see it I am very impressed...and very jealous. When did you get that?

I look forward to seeing what you do with it, I know in your hands there will be superb results. I might also mention that most of the squirrels here saw that acquisition too and are packing their bags and heading your way......they say they want the kind of shots you can now give them with regularity. Can you provide your street address....I am more than happy to pay their airfare, and hope you can deal with the little rodents better than I have. After they chew up everything in sight at your place, maybe you will want to just give me that lens to get rid of them?

Best Regards!

Now I have proves that this little birdie is still alive and is bathing well in the drinking fountain

That is some Big Brain Thinking by your squirrels FS!

Those are fine shots.....in particular that very handsome little squirrel!

My birdies are on a diet, they don't want that Cheater Branch to break off from a big fat bird landing.

Eat light...save a Cheater Branch! Yep...Crop Mode!

A Couple of Macro Shots

Macro shots from earlier this week with the Tamron 90mm F2.8 SP DI. It was a cloudy day, but there was still a fair amount of light. No editing other than to resize the files.

An unknown, but interesting weed, f11, 1/125, ISO 400

A small, colorful flower, f14, 1/40, ISO 320. I think I'd brighten this up a bit if I were to print it.

Such a terrible accident!...I am just wondering what is the female form of the name Otis?
