Nice shot wtlwdwgn. don't have the zoom capability you do with this lens on the K-1, but I'll have the best of all Pentaxian worlds for bird photography when I get a KP.

Attached are a couple of shots from a recent visit to a local state park, also tightly cropped.
Nice...

In Search of Saguaro Blossoms

A few Saguaro blossom shots utilizing the 15-30 f/2.8, new 50 f/1.4, and 70-200 f/2.8.

I covered a Ball recently, thought I'd share a few shots. Taken with the K-1 using either FA43, FA77 or F28 likely. The candid dance shots are managed by using the underrated Tv Mode, set shutter speed to very low 1/5 second etc and use flash, wiggle the camera as well deliberately ('drunken mode') hehe.

Awesome effect.... unfortunately I've never been to a ball, but just in case I ever do I'll remember.

You might call that a "One Shot" but by the looks of all those holes I'd say it's been shot far more than once. I have to admit though, nice capture and great definition......did I really just say that

bird bokeh

Well nothing fancy, certainly no cool soligor swirls. Man, now that I think about it, that might be kinda neat to take soligor bird shots. hmm, guess I need a soligor lens to do that, well maybe some day

Here is a white-crowned sparrow; rose-breasted grosbeak make; rose-breasted grosbeak female; and a red belly woodpecker female. With the shot of the rose-breasted grosbeak female the tree in the background was so far back that it created a green screen, which I thought looked sorta nice or at least different.
Best Regards, Bob

I’m not sure they’ll stand still when you're getting closer to 30 cm...
