Love those FS...and in particular that little birdie on a limb! I see you shot him in Crop Mode......Have I ever mentioned how much I love the K1 Crop Mode?

The other poster?...Well, I see them digging a deep hole out there...not sure what it means, but glad it is not for me...or you!

Regards...and your apology was well accepted!

Here's another shot from the lake the other evening. Taken with the Samyang 135 at f/2. Just got this lens and I'm really enjoying it. I'm finding it pretty easy to focus, especially with focus peaking, although the K-1 viewfinder is so good that I can do pretty well with it as well. Of course, it's not a lens I'd use for action photography, but for instances where time is not a factor, it's a pleasure to use. The only con is it's pretty heavy.

The thing is razor sharp wide open. Amazing. I have not had a lens this sharp from wide open. Not so obvious in this photo, just a general observation.

...ummm, you know, how you crop them into little pieces before cooking!

Just one more dove, but I did like the light on this one. Also shot in Crop Mode!

Regards!

so far the only thing im really missing is the huge zoom capabilities of my 16-300 tamron for my 60d.im afraid a big lens even the area of that size is going to be a huge investment (not to mention size)

Tamron has made a 28~300 FF lens for some time. It appears to be pretty good with the usual limitations of any zoom offering such a long range = considerable WA distortion (and other WA-associated aberrations) at the short end, reduced IQ at the long end, and major focus-breathing at near distances (becomes equivalent of 200mm or less). However, most reviews I've read, as well as owner-evaluations, are generally positive; a good to very good lens especially considering what it offers. And the lens is not a monster (which means the aperture is modest). Regrettably, it is not presently available in K-mount, but, if Pentax can cooperate with Tamron on the 15-30..........I wonder how that works. Tamron supplies the optics in a basic mount, Pentax puts those into outer components of their own design & manufacture?
