Another good sunrise today. Probably at least in part due to wildfire smoke.

Beautiful sunsets. I envy you "Big Sky/Country" folks as we rarely see those kinds of sunsets in the cities of the midwest.

Mattb123, sunset #2 is a better composition as nothing detracts from the image. The gravel bar/river bank adds nothing compositionally & therefore renders the image less impactful. Keep 'em coming!

I performed the simple modification and now no more vignetting.

OK, gotta ask, does that sculpture have a gas tank and shoot fire? Just curious because I am looking at what looks like nozzles, and then the 2 torches would be good stationary igniters...
Cool pic,
Eric

By popular demand (See Bobby, you are popular!) Meet Dolce'. She is a pure bred Yorkshire Terrier, but she has the throwback gene for Parti coloring (meaning she will be a tri color Yorkie). Yorkies are normally just black & tan. She was from a litter of 1, from an older pair of privately owned Yorkies locally. Litters of 1 don't always make it through to live birthing and are often still born, but Dolce' is a fighter. Her mom was 4lbs, and dad was 3.7lbs. She is on target to be about 4lbs.

She is, as my wife would say "a hot mess" in these pic's and is going to get her first grooming soon. The dark color tips of her hair makes it looks like she's been rolling in the mud or has a bad dye job, but it is just the dark color growing out. We've been playing at brushing her daily to get her used to it, so the groomers have an easier time of it.

You can see her roots are very light, and she has pure white on her chin and feet, and around her face. I have no idea what her final coat will look like, but have a feeling she will be mostly tan & white once she gets a hair cut, with a maybe a very few black spots remaining. She gets her final round of shots next week, she is 13 weeks old as of these pic's. They say their hair color will finalize around 6 months old.

Yeah I moved here from the midwest (Go Blue! ) just for this kind of scenery and the adventure it facilitates.

I can't disagree with your evaluation. I was trying to get different parts of the sky and these shots are actually on either side of the same stand of trees. The one you prefer is facing East and needed HDR processing to manage the range. The other is a single exposure looking WNW and that was as much interest via the water as I could get from this side and not get my feet wet. It was in the teens this morning so I didn't want that!

Thanks!

Its easy for me to post constructive criticism since I'm not the one out there in the cold! Again, nice shots.

Nice shot. I have a shot of the same canyon in my archives from a different view that I printed 11x17. Took it b4 I had my K-1, so I guess i shouldn't post it here.

Forgot to say I'm really impressed with the IQ of the 28-105. I'm going to end up buy one if you keep posting 'em!

Wow, if that's this season, VT looks amazing. Not sure OH is ever going to turn colorful this year.
