Scottish Savanna II

Shot facing the other way... from behind the split tree on the right, a while before the impending storm of the original shot.

Some shots from Blyde River Canyon, South Africa. These are with the DFA28-105, my favourite travel lens (along with the DA55-300).

Close to the southern end, viewed from "God's window". Still green despite the time of year.

In the north it's markedly more dry. Note the low water level in the dam. The dam carries the dyselxia-friendly name of Blyderivierspoortdam

Some people like living on the edge - it's about 800m to the bottom of the canyon

Photographer Vlad Eftenie, he's quite famous in Bucharest for walking the city all day long and taking pictures of places and people. Only this time, the tables have turned (DFA 50mm).

K-1 + Tamron 70-200/2.8 cropped and converted in Lr4.4. (shot @ f/4, 1/200, 2500 ISO) ... x-post from B&W thread.

I shot some theater images for their website ... good deal since I take a few picks and get to see a play free in exchange. Many of the members of our photo club are doing this on a rotating basis ... learning a bit here and there about this type of lighting situation, etc.
