That's a cool slice of life image.
Yeah, to many it'll be pretty normal, but I'm just visiting and do not have transportation like this around me, so it feels.new and cool for others it's just a ride to work or the store...

You captured the atmosphere really well here. It is both beautiful and frighteningly cold.

Thank you Bob !
When will we see your wonderful snow shots ?
Hopefully soon I will take & post some snow shots, have a nice covering of it today. I apologize for not shooting lately, seriously it has troubled me not to be out & about taking photos of anything. For a wee bit more than a month I have had to deal with some issues: medical with me; the house; the farm truck and some odds and ends. All things are improving slowly so I hope to get back in action. By the way, I am not a hater of the moon (noon), just your photos of it...
Best Regards, Bob

I finally upgraded from K-5 to K-1 II - and the K-1 came in the mail yesterday - the 100th anniversary day, no less!

The weather was miserable today, so this was the best shot from the first day. PNG processed with default settings in Aperture. DFA 28-105, 28mm, f/3.5, 1/13s, ISO 800. I'm really impressed by the sharpness of the DFA 28-105, even fully open!
Welcome on board !
Nice first shot !

You can't buy them, SRS Microsystems (probably the largest Pentax/Ricoh retailer in the UK) had a Pentax open day to celebrate the 100th anniversary. They gave everyone a goodie bag which contained the body cap, a mug and a few other bits apparently. Unfortunately I couldn't attend as it was to far away from me but another forum member on Pentax User forum went and he sent me his as he didn't think he would use it.

Really good of him I thought.
Thank you for the info Mike! I'll keep my eyes open for any events here or whether I can find it at the Greek retailer. That I was a good story too! It cheers me up whenever of I learn of such kind gestures, really kind of him, he deserves praise!

Buffalo herd with always alert perimeter sentries. You don't want one of those guys coming after you, trust me.

Sometimes a photo worth viewing is a consequence of seeing something that's right in front of everyone, yet they do not see it.

Thank you! Yes, I’ve used the 28-105 for a while (since June) with my K-5 and got some really nice shots (among them my first entry in the PPG since it rose from the dead). I was still pleasantly surprised by the corner sharpness when using it on FF @ 28mm.
