Back in October I was invited to a special get together at Glen Davis, organised by Mick Tait, to shoot some cosplay at the old ruins of the shale oil works.

During downtime I decided to try something a bit different and grab some (before's and afters) head and shoulder shots of our team... Team Steam!

All shot with the K-1 + FA77.

I've seen some of your other portraits too - I love them. They feel distinctly you while representing the unique people you capture. Keep it up and thanks for sharing some of the work you do.

K1+Laowa 12/2.8

The Pinang Peranakan Mansion in Penang, once owned by the island's richest man in the late 19th century.
However, the family fortunes only lasted 5 generations and the mansion gradually became derelict.
It was acquired by a property developer in the 1990s, and with over 1,000 Peranakan antiques, turned it into a museum dedicated to Penang's Peranakan culture.

This area, which is the ancestral temple is still retained by the descendants of the original patriarch and left relatively as it was.

I'm always amazed by the K1 dynamic range.
Exposing not to clip the sky, the interior was relatively dark in the RAW, but with the K1 DR, easily brought back up to exactly how I saw it when I was there.

'67 Camaro...very nice...big block engine, I see, going by the engine badging on the fender.

I had a Marina Blue, '67 Camaro Coupe...327 V8 (5.3 litre)...4 speed Muncie manual transmission...RS package, Rally wheels. This was back in the late '60's...I liked it, but the temptation to wind it out through the gears was something difficult for me..as a teenager to avoid.

I traded it in....on ....drum roll ....'69 VW Beetle with the 1500cc (53.5 hp) engine... 4 speed manual. Cheaper to run, huge MPG difference and much less chance of a ticket.

Thank you for posting the picture. I enjoyed checking it out.
