Brilliant focused on the eye. Not all squirrels worldwide have the chance to have a personal photographer.
Thanks Biz! Can you believe that until I got the K1 the damn squirrels were running ads for a photographer with a Nikon...dirty little rodents!

Regards!

For general walk around, 24-70 is a nicer focal range than 15-30. It is essentially a 16-50 on APS-C versus a 10-20mm on APS-C. The 15-30 is a very nice lens, but it can't take filters and is bigger than the 24-70. Getting a 24-70 and then eventually adding a 14 or 15mm prime would work pretty nicely in my opinion.
Nisi makes filters for the DFA 15-30.

A late comment, have been on holiday since that concert: That was one exceptionally great show, I hope you had some times to enjoy the music and that the pyro didn't melt your K-1

(Nice saying hello to you, btw)

The last shot, of the disputatious cardinals, is tailor-made for the caption-contest. "My fledgling's feathers are twice as red as yours!" But I think that's a fledgling & mother, so "what do you mean I have to find my own food?"

Thanks FS! Yes, the young Cardinal was screaming for food....and she got it a minute or so later.....It was sort of disheartening to hear the fowl language the chick used........no doubt, even at this early age she learned it from the damn squirrels?

I can't print what she was really saying...as noted in my reply to FS.

She needed a mouthful of soap to clean up her fowl language, but the mama fed her anyhow....

Today's sunset had a chance to be good, so I just cycled to a vantage point I had wanted to try out and see how it turned out.

K1+K24/2.8

Composition adjusted to get more of the road below and multi-exposure for the traffic trails.
The K1 is such a wonder image making camera, all these features that don't catch the eye on a spec sheet review, but is so wonderful for real image making.

Might have been better for the light trails if it was darker, but 15mins was all I had for shooting before going home for the next chore.
