K-1 and DA*200 2.8, from when the camera was new, Nov. 15, 2016.

It's going on 4 years now, yet seems like yesterday. For the first time in the digital age, I've a 3.5 year old camera and I'm still not looking for a replacement.

Yes, it's true. K1 and I met when she first came to town. She is incredible, everything that I ever wished for. We've been together ever since, I haven't looked at another body since!

trying out my DFA 150-450 lens on the K1 yesterday while the USAF T-birds did a "first responders and medical" honorary flyby....I like the focusing on the K1 compared to the K3, but I am liking the added reach of the APSC sensor of the K3, however I will continue to use the lens on the K1, really happy with the results. these shots were taken on my rooftop on a tripod with gymble head.....it worked really well.

Have you tried setting your K-1 to crop mode and noticed if you get a similar effect to the k-3? I am interested in if that is an acceptable setup. Mostly due to still having many crop only lenses.

The advantage of using crop mode on the k1 particularly for sports/action is you get a faster write time so the buffer empties quicker. The image recorded on the sensor is the same except it is cropped. You would get the same result by cropping the FF image in pp.

The K3 has a 24MP crop sensor the K1 a 16MP crop sensor mode. So maybe you can crop the K3 images in post more than the K1 crop. In practice I have really agressively cropped some K1 images and get excellent detail.

Looks good enough to eat, which I'm sure they were. Sometimes a meal or dessert is made so well, I hate to eat it...as I feel like I'm destroying a work of art...and these cakes would fall into that category.

Your wife must be an excellent baker.

Lovely portraits of a fine looking dog. Got a kick out of the one where he is 'adjusting' your lens hood.

Your pup is very handsome looking canine. Do you know what type of dog he is ?

Family members rescued a northern Canadian sled dog a number of years ago. He is a fine addition to the family, but let me tell you taking a sled dog for a walk is something else. He moves at a quick walking pace and is very powerful and inexhaustible...it is a long, brisk walk with him.
