Nice work there, Steve. Your gear isn’t limiting you, that’s for sure. That D FA150-450 is being used to good effect, I reckon.
Thanks Rob. It was a great outing yesterday.

A close-up from my garden. Shot with K1 and Rokinon (Samyang) 1.4/35 which has a nice short minimum focusing distance.

With the D FA 150-450.
Superb capture Steve, I love it. And I just have to think that getting this sort of image was on your mind when planning to purchase that beautiful, monster lens.
Best Regards, Bob

K1+M20/4

Instead of just watching the day end, I decided to grab my camera to see if the sunset would be favorable.
Since it was just a try which may result in no shot, I took something that would likely do the job while not being too much of a hassle to carry around.
Nothing is better than the very small M20/4 for such a situation.

Yesterday we went to the "Vallée des Singes" (Valley of the Monkeys), a free-range type zoo and I tired out a Rikenon 50/2 that had been stocked up in the attic. Actually I have two and never really thought that this lens would be average at best until I read the reviews here on PF. Quite happy with this first-time outing and the last image is a tire swing where I added a Pentax n°1 extension tube.

Thanks Bob. Yes, this kind of shot is what made me get this lens.
