Doing some playing around with a comet image and after cranking up the settings I found a satellite that wanted to be part of the show. I love the images form the K1/K1-II. Just full of hidden surprises. The first time I have used Astrotracer on the K1-II. Seems to work fine.

You had plenty of time before, so now I guess with a little bit more that means you have an excess of time. Is that your silly excuse for abandoning us, lack of time... Certainly you must know that I expect top of the line superb images posted by you...since you have a bit more time to capture them... And if you think for one minute that I am going to be like the others and say I missed you, well think again mister...well OK, a little bit... I do hope Rupert told you where you could stick your weird moon shots... Four years ago redpit mentioned the joyful and calm mood in the PF...well it was what it was...and now it is what it is............welcome back Frederic
Best Regards, Bob

There is my friend! Welcome back to the land of the living Pentaxians!

Nice pic... but don't feed the squirrels or you'll never be rid of them!

Now we just need to see how Bobby is doing, and it'll be like old times. I've slowed up a bit, with distractions of my own, by my heart is still here, even when my post's aren't.

Fast... or... Slow?

Hello Eric, I favor the slow speed shot. It has been quite some time since I was on this thread, and thank you very much for your concern. The Luxembourg creature has returned so I reckon it is time for me to get with the program..
Here are a few return start shots from me, as usual nothing special.
Best Regards, Bobby

Another Neowise shot from last night, this one tracked 70 seconds with MSM Tracker and then blended with the foreground (with a lousy light painting attempt)
K1 and Rokinon 24 mm

That's so nice. Can you detail a little bit on the technique used? there was only one frame, or some stacking? were there any darks?

Do you think one can get something similar using the astrotracer on the K-1 instead of the MSM tracker?

Some concert photography (from last year) with FA 77 and DFA 70-200.

Dull weather since a few days, lots of work to do, no time to enjoy some interesting shooting ...
But at least I can always grab the K1, get out for a few minutes to see what's going on in the garden.
...
Mind explaining how you got that effect w/postprocessing? HDR? Pixel shifting? Stacks & layers?

Sure, processing was actually quite straight forward. The original shot was already close.
I am using ACDsee Photo Studio Ultimate 2018 as my main tool for processing.
For this shot I just played with curves for more "punch" and added a little vignetting (see picture)
After export as JPG and resizing for my smugmug gallery I did some output sharpening for the web in Sharpener Pro 3.

Hope this helps.
