These are lovely images Matt, I hope you drove there with all that weight!
Thanks!
I did drive the Tacoma. Too much ground to cover to bike it after work and be there in time and get home before dark. Plus I had my 645D kit along too so I had many pounds of gear with me!
It was a nice little 4x4 trail up to this high point. Kind of rough too so I was glad I brought the truck!

8-10 kms a day is a lot. Is she hiking? I live in a city so it takes me 3-4 hours at least to get to the nearest place where I can hike or climb or whatever. On average I would say I go once or twice per month, so my boots usually last longer (4-5 years).
We could walk 50 miles (80 km) out our back door without crossing a paved road or highway traversing 300 foot (100 meter) ridges and valleys.. When Tess doesn't do the walk, I have to, we have border collies. She has a bad back right now... it's killing me.

But out the front door it's a short walk to the Post Office, Beer Store, grocery store, pharmacy or doctor's office. We've had our RAV4 for 8 years and it only has 130k on the odometer.

Early Morning Sunrise in Antioch California!

Although the fires burning in Northern California are tragic and destructive they also contribute to some unique atmospheric conditions such as the one shown in the attached photograph. This photo was taken through the early morning hazy conditions at the Delta in Antioch Ca. It was taken using a Pentax K1 camera with a Sigma 24-70 f2.8 lens at a focal length of 48mm and ISO 100. Although I was shooting directly into the sun I used a Kase polarizing filter and a 6 stop ND filter to get an 8sec exposure time for that dreamy ethereal look.

This photo was taken about 5min after the one above. I was just about to pack up and decided to take one last photo. I called it “Double Sun”; I don’t know if that is the moon or not as it was not visible with the necked eye.

Yeah, and like Cousin Vinny said, "And she's cute, too." Though I'd have used the word, "equestrienne". I've never believed that one has to be a man to ride a horse, so why the use of masculine nouns to describe women who do things? Maybe it's "newspeak", right?

Great use of lighting. Really excellent picture.
Interesting, I never realized there were gendered versions of this word and I was a Dressage rider when I was young, riding at "Equestrian Centers" that were used by 95% women!
Thanks!

There are a few gendered words that seem to be going our of use in English as spoken in the USA. "ACTOR" now seems to be universal, whereas "actress" seems to have become non-PC. I sympathize with some of this, I find some it petty or even silly. Helen Reddy died just recently. Must her most famous song become "I Am Person?"
