Wow, thanks for the kind words Dave. Yeah, that species of spider is tiny, so that helps I guess, but still I had to time it to when the wind wasn't moving the palm frond his web was on and that was hand held. I did a lot of chimping at 100% view and took at least 5 shots before I got one I was happy with. The weight of the 150-450mm starts to make itself known about that point in time and you either settle for the shot you already have or decide to live without it.

Squirrels nip the flowers off of our tulips. I have seen them do it and I have to admit if I did not live in the burbs grabbing my 22 would have been an option. They do every year. It really ticks me off. The only way to protect them is to put cages around them.
