I was up in Oregon a few weeks ago. I took this shot on a gray, dreary day in Astoria, Oregon. The Astoria-Megler Bridge spans the Columbia River between Oregon and Washington. It was originally shot in Color and I didn't care a lot for it; in Black and White it's a much better image I think.
Superb shot !

Thanks - it was on the jasper park highway heading either to or from Banff if memory serves!
That's why the view is new to me. We came into Jasper from the south and I suspect that the image is taken heading westward into Jasper from the plains to the east.

These are very nice shots! I also found that FA300 focuses better on k1 than on k5iis.

Wish you could hear the chorus of little squirrels all singing out together "Oooh La La!!!" over that shot! Me too!

I completely agree, great work! I'm liking that Samyang 135mm...might have to pick one up myself.

Some cross postings and my first K-1 postings. Unfortunately free time is still a valuable commodity, but I do manage to enjoy my hobby occasionally. These are from a recent outing to test a new to me *60-250mm in FF mode...even though I'm partial to primes I like this lens quite a bit

Orchids

@250mm f4

Dragon fly

Couple on the same outing with a dfa 100mm wr...just for fun

Thanks fs, I'm glad you like it. I'm also glad I took another look at it. I think I'm going to print it at about 16x20 and put it on my wall.

Thank you, gda13! The Samyang is really good, if you don't mind manual focus. It is super sharp even wide open.

Love those shots of yours, too! The dragonfly shot is fantastic! Well done!

For a snapshot from the front door there's plenty of detail in the car and the blur of the background looks excellent mate.
Thank you. I give all credit to K-1, panning is easier with it.

You'll have to record them next time!

First time shooting with the awesome Eryka. Fancies herself a bit more of tomboy/biker chick. No problems pushing the K-1 up to 1600 iso. Never liked going above 400 with the K-3.
