^^^ Great to hear the K-1 is re-kindling that more artistic / considered approach. It's wonderful when you happen upon equipment that truly speaks to you. I think a lot of us buy a new camera as a step upgrade to what we already have and do, and there's nothing wrong with that, of course - but, just occasionally, a new camera (or lens, or lighting gear etc.) can increase or bring out further creativity - as with your K-1. Good stuff!

Really fine shots Ranchy! That caterpillar is perfect and jumping spiders are my favorites......yours is perfect too!

He demands equality in posting with those nasty air fowling birds I posted.....

Smile for the camera you little devil!

Of course not. Burns better in the entrails.

#1 & #3 do it for me....I love the little birdie!....But....the shooter let him stay in too busy a background. A more seasoned shooter and one that could speak Birdie fluently would have politely asked him to move to a better background....and he would have! Squirrels do give you credit for the effort on the cute little guy!

This Jay had barely landed when he started squealing his lungs out. Seems he spotted a stray cat and felt obligated to sound the alarm to all around...near and far. Loud and noisy birds!

"There is a killer cat on the loose!"

"It's up to me to warn everyone!"

"Yeah, I heard about the damn cat, but it's the filthy little rodent squirrels that concern me the most."

The question is...can you have fun in Crop Mode?

The answer is.....absolutely!

Regards!

Exquisite bird and beautiful red-tiled roofs, FS (to mention only my particular favorites).
