Had just enough time and light this evening when I got home to get this test shot. Loving the camera so far -- it feels like it's in a whole different league. And I think it's really going to make the FA 77 shine (already my favorite lens on APS-C)!

DA*60-250 @250mm, lots of vignette but otherwise not bad.

Pardon my ignorance, with this kind of lighting, where did you meter in order to achieve this great image? Anyone can answer of course.

1st shots. My god its a big leap from my Kr. On a different thread, don't remember who, but someone said there's going to be Disney's it's a whole new world song playing when I said I'm upgrading from the Kr. That person was right lol.

Both taken with Tamron 70-200mm 2.8. Wanted to see the low light capabilities and I'm impressed. First photo was in a dark room with the only sunlight dimly coming through semitransparent curtains couple feet right of where I was shooting. 2nd photo never thought I'd be able to get photos of my fish in focus without a flash.

I'm going to have a lot of fun this weekend.

Man! when I see the DA*55 on this camera, I can't help but think this lens ROCKS. Very pleasing images.

Is the DA* 55's AF speed much improved on the K-1? Slow AF seems to be the most commonly cited drawback with this lens. Your shots look sharp and don't show CA. I'd like to think that the DA*55 and a DFA 100 macro would make a tidy pair of WR primes for a K-1 kit.

The accuracy is much improved, so by extension speed has too. I really didn't like using this lens on my K-5, it missed focus so much. With the K-1 I can shoot at f/1.4 and it hits focus every time. I've removed the CA from these shots and others.

Are those straight out of camera (SooC) ? Or did you process them? That is, beyond CA mitigation..

Nice! The AF performance of the K-1 is shaping up to have as much appeal as the extra sensor real estate. And really happy to see how well many of the DAs are doing on the K-1.

Testing out the AF-C of the K-1 with the D-FA* 70-200mm. No NR or lens profile applied. Very basic processing.

Processed, always. The ladder and cables also have vignette added, if you're curious.

Also - pls folks, no need to post 7000 x 4000 pixel images directly into forum posts. It kills the page layout in many browsers. 1000px wide will do fine.
Agreed...There is not need to post big, particularly if the image is hosted on Flickr. Share at 1000 or 1200 (or less) on the long axis and add a link through to the full-resolution version on Flickr. The link will open in a new window and everyone is happy.

Not to mention my internet connection..............
My connection does pretty well, but I don't believe too many of us have monitors capable of displaying 7360x4912. That is even higher resolution than 4K. A whole page of photos that I can't even view is a little much.
