The missed shot was at the moment when my cat and that little girl were nose to nose with the door glass in between. That' would be just great to catch.

V-A-V squirrel & cat on opposite sides of a sliding glass door. Years back we had a great ball of a Persian cat named Laura who was a relentless and skilled hunter. One very cold winter we had pine siskins coming to a feeder hung from the eaves just outside the slider, and also scrounging for seeds that fell even into the grooves for the sliding door. They were so close their tail feathers were bent against the glass. Poor Laura attacked the glass, pawed at it, even bit at it, but the siskins seemed oblivious and just continued feeding as if the cat were not there. Amusing for us, delightfully exasperating for Laura.

I took these at a local park where they sail these neat R/C ships. The Heron ignored the ships, and only reacted if people got close to him.

The first one I tried to just get the sail reflections in the shot with the Heron hunting, I thought the sailboat reflections looked more like full scale boats than the models themselves. The second shot, I cropped out the kids colorful jungle gym, because I liked it's colorful reflection in the water near the sail boats.

Poor Laura
It seems my cats soon will consider that squirrel girl as a part of the family Today she ran straight to my cat outside, and the cat was like "oh, you... again...whatever". Of course I watch closely just in case. However that little creatures seem enjoying by teasing cats.

From the class at the local club yesterday. Pocket Wizard Plus III works with K-1 like a charm. I need to find out the best set up for K-1, new flash and triggers.
Shooting smoke is fun. Not a great result, but it was for very first and very short time . DA 35mm macro.

Trying out new 1:1 crop mode on Sigma 18-35mm. Looks like a good option.
