went out last night to capture some stars by the mountains, got some good shots and saw this guy by my feet

DA 35mm @ f/2.8 , 10 sec ISO 800.
scorpion with blacklight using 100mm macro and I didn't get real close

No need to worry, You're too big for him to eat and unless you're specific allergic, the vast majority of scorpion stings are painful but not deadly (there's only one species in the USA whose sting is regarded as potentially deadly). Scorpions kill about one person every two years in the USA, about the same as bears and centipedes, more than alligators but fewer than sharks.

Just a quick post from me, to add to the weekend's offerings! Summer fades to autumn, in Northumberland, UK. Shot with the 24-70, 3 shot HDR (because I don't have a 82mm ND grad!).



Hope everyone had a great weekend, and I look forward to pixel-peeping all your posts over tomorrow
