Some more photos that show the diversity of modern day Iran – a complexity that so far has really proven to be a challenge to capture in pictures only.

I LOVE this photo! I am a huge fan of brutalist architecture and this photo captures the spirit of brutalism perfectly! Do you have any more photos of these buildings?

Thaaaanks! Yes, I have lots, check my Flickr for some more pics of Atisaz. Unfortunately there is little info to be found on that project. As far as I know, it was started in 1974, before the Islamic revolution, but construction only finished "recently". It's a marvel of urban planning and architecture, and actually an upmarket neighborhood, contrary to most European examples. If I find time I will upload some more examples of other Iranian housing estates, too.

I take it that you are a member of the Brutalism Appreciation Society on FB?

Great shots!
Very well done with the isolated flower.

and +1 for the Great shots! Looks as though it was a dream day for photography in those mountains. Flawless skies, and and best I can tell, pleasant temps and little or no wind.

I didn't know there was a Brutalism Appreciation Society until you mentioned it but I just joined. I'll take a look at those Atisaz photos on your Flickr account. If it started in 1974 that is well within the "classic" brutalism era. I've never heard of Atisaz until now and I haven't seen photos of it before. Thanks for sharing the photos you have of it. I'd love to see the other brutalist structures you took photos of in Iran.

OK, this is my favorite doggy / fall pic of the day! It hits all the buttons and is well done. It's doesn't hurt that your pooch is photogenic either, heh.
You mentioned cropped in PP, is the DA70 a little dark in the corners at f2.4, or was it just for composition?
Thanks, awesome shot,
Eric
