I chipmunk or closely related little stripey rodent (suspected: least chipmunk). Did not have time to mount a longer tele so this is a deep crop, and I'm well pleased with the IQ

Amazing! Do you mind sharing a bit more about where this is at? I'm also in Washington, and this looks like a great place to hike.
Sure! The image was taken from Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park. Hiking is great all around the park including a lush rain forest on the western side of the park adjacent to the Pacific Ocean.

Another "wash" that narrows substantially as you walk further into it. HDR did OK here, keeping tone on the brightly lit white cliff on the left and recording plenty of detail in the deep shadow to the right without making the scene look totally unrealistic.

Another image from my week in DC

K-1 + Sigma 100-300 f4

Oddly enough, this lens is now seeing a lot of work as a landscape lens on FF.

Finally made use of Pentax WR-capability. First shot taken in the rain today (DA* 55 1.4). The second from a few days ago, when it was dry but cold (A 20 2.8).
