That's a wonderful effect. Personally, I would crop the sides of the image enough to leave just the lights at right and left.

Okay WPRESTO, either Massachusetts has the most varied geography of anyplace on the planet or you are never at home. Nice shot of an iconic landmark from a different point of view.

Oh WOW! One of the main reasons I bought the K-1 is because I was told that the depth and 3D effect of full frame would be noticeable. Your images have so much depth that I feel like I can reach into the screen. Good work!

Thanks. The photo was taken from a standard viewpoint, bit over a mile round trip, plus going off of the official viewpoint across some easily-traversed rocky surfaces to what was, IMHO, a slightly better perspective. M and I decided that the time required to do the hike up to the up-close viewpoint, behind the arch up where you can see the tourists in the image I posted, was not worth it to us because 1) the light would be on the wrong side; and 2) we were facing a very long drive that day. I did use a tele to get a closer, more isolated image of the arch, but I preferred this framing with other lumpy (IMHO interesting) rocks to the right of the arch.

Awesome Aussie. Pretty much every member of the breed I've met, standard and mini, and there have been a lot, have been really nice dogs.

Thanks, Obin, I think you're right - choose nice glass, and the extra width means you're rewarded for putting something in the foreground and something in the background, even if it's just a texture.

I have to remind myself to do that, because without thinking, my shooting instinct is to fill the frame 70 percent or so with a subject.

Thanks, Vincent, the area is either rolling hills like the hobbit homeland in The Lord of the Rings, or temperate rain forest. My wife lived there as a small child.

I show her your beautifully sensitive Indiana landscapes and she loves them, BTW!
