My 200th post :-) had a lot of fun posting and seeing the work for fellow K1 owners.

Atlanta downtown views from hotel room (shot through glass using the 15-30)... the buildings were sterile, but the light is what made the shots come alive... Nature is amazing.

and a couple while walking to a meeting:

Theses pics made my day !
I dont know which one I prefer mate, they all are really fantastic shots. They deserve some big size prints

On different subject, today Ill be shooting 3 sisters in my studio, that would be my first studio shoot with the K1 + Pentax 24-700mm + Pentax 70-200mm.
So yesterday I setup the studio and exercise with my best model ever...my daughter

First notice is the DoF change between APSC and FF, not a big surprise but still something I've got to adapt to. I tried between f/2,8 to f/3,5 and the AF point on one of the eye, still some shots are out of focus.
Second notice is the weight of the Pentax 70-200mm f2,8 ...it's really heavy and I had to alternate between both lenses from time to time. It was difficult for me to have a solid arm after let's say 15 min of shooting the big one constantly !

I've made quick develop under Lr with some presets I made for the 50-135mm and it worked pretty well overall.
I didnt want to bother my daughter with body oil or makeup, I didn't retouch her skin or made any local adjustments, I wanted to see what to expect from both lenses and It seems pretty damn amazing lenses for Studio work

That is a great set of urban images. Our cities may be grey, but that doesn't prevent them from being, at times, quite beautiful. And photography is all about using light to make an image.
