The K-1 as an action camera.
K-1 - FA 50 1.7
ISO 3200, ƒ2, 1/100
Get'er done.

I took the K-1 with the FA 50 ƒ1.7 to the grand daughters's place for Boxing Day. Tough sledding. but, acceptable results, the 3200 ISO definitely would have been a downer on the K-2, and ƒ2 was totally necessary..

I asked their father about decent lighting, his answer was " I installed low level lighting because it was supposed to be the TV watching room, now I have two gymnasts in the family, and it's a gymnasium." Just goes to show, you have to be prepared for everything.

The camera did a great job locking focus on the sofas.

That is one of your best ever shots FS....very excellent!

LeRolls.......This shot hit Otis' "Hot Spot" and he demanded that you be rewarded for your excellent eye for a great hiney. So from one hiney expert to another...he has upgraded you to Loyal Site Supporter with all the accompanying benefits. He also requests that you keep up the superb work you post here!

Otis is taking a little break to get his blood pressure back down.....

Nice work Norm...when did you get a K1? Haven't seen you in a while....hope you are still your same old cantankerous grouchy self? We need more squirrel shots over there........can you still shoot squirrels?

"You guys ever seen a Peanut Tree dripping sap in the Fall?....beautiful sight it is!"

This one reminded me of an Escher drawing, I kept waiting for them to make a knife edge pass, wingtip to wingtip, but this was as close as I could get, heh heh.

Pentax K-1 smc PENTAX-DA* 300mm F4 ED [IF] SDM ƒ/5.6 300.0 mm 1/1500 iso100

Pentax K-1 smc PENTAX-D FA MACRO 100mm F2.8 WR ƒ/5.6 100.0 mm 1/90 iso100

Trying out my panning skills, to see if I could blur the background left to right... sorta worked, but I guess I'd need a much slower shutter speed to really see the effect, 1/1000th just too fast for panning with big slow bird.

A happy mistake with my first use of the interval function on the K-1 with the 15-30.

These are my first pics from a near new DFA28-105 I bought from a member here. Windy overcast day in the backyard. This will be my everyday lens replacing the Sigma 18-35mm which is heavy, non-WR and APS-C only.
