Excellent black and white composition. What happened to the white balance for photos #2 and #3?

I'm always torn, down there in the shadows the light is extremely blue, so do I show it like it was? or apply a white balance that is totally artificial. In these images, I decided the articial white balance robbed the image of the icey cold feeling that should be associated with it. I've always been opposed to the concept of an artificial white balance with natural light. With artificial light fine, go ahead, with natural light your image needs to reflect what's there.

At least that's my opinion.

Great shot! And...the DA*300 looks good for landscapes. It really is the do-all lens. Still getting to know mine.

Thanks.
Getting some great results from the 70-200 but it is on the heavy side.

Great series of sunsets Kengoh. You always got the most out of your K-5, and at these sizes, they all look equally great.

Great winter scenes! Norm, I'm with you 100%. I try to get out in the early mornings and get the 'golden hours' just to have software try and turn them blue. I usually have to correct it a tad, but otherwise, I believe in replicating what I saw when it comes to certain types of nature photography.

You always have such nice food shots Frederick... Is that Flan? edit: looked at large pic, looks less like Flan, more like??? Hard to tell, and some like to garnish razor thin orange rind, but it looks similar. another great set.

Not an image that shows off the K1 particularly. This petroglyph is obviously interpreted as a rising or setting sun.
