Am thoroughly enjoying the images on this forum. Can't stay away. So many excellent photos.

Went out last evening to shoot landscapes with the 70-200 D-FA* I received a few days ago. Clouds were present, which is somewhat rare in my area, and I ended up with the first pano with my new, and first, Pentax. Three shots, edited in Lightroom, then stitched in Photoshop CC. I tried to stay true to what I saw and not over process it, but probably did. Constructive criticism would be appreciated. FYI the mountains do get very purple around here.

Congrats on a beautiful shot. I am fond of the pano capability of Lightroom CC. To me, it's almost worth the subscription price for this amazing stitching function. (Which keeps getting better with new releases.)

To that end, I'm curious as to why you would move from processing in Lightroom to stitching in PS? I have not stitched in PS, never feeling the need to move beyond the options offered in LR… What does PS offer you that LR does not?

I've just always used Photoshop & am familiar with that process. I guess I need to try stitching in Lightroom. Thanks.

Great set! Gotta ask Frederick, is that flower more than 1:1 ? Extension tube?

You could work some landscapes behind your models... but people might not notice. ;-)

Both are great, but I really like the soft dreamy look of the first pic best.
The second is pure wooof! What's not to like, it projects she's got the goods and knows it, but sometimes subtle is nice too.

Thank you. I've tried a couple environmental portraits in the past and they seem to turn out decent. I may try a few more in the future.

The second shot.....she is so lovely, and that hiney is as perfect as the come, just superb! As a "hiney man" with over 70 years of expertise, I know what I am talking about!

LeRolls, take a few days off, relax and rediscover the importance of what is important...and it isn't landscapes! We have plenty of great landscape artists here already, your expertise is needed just where it is at!

Marina is always great and some outfits show off how great she is more than others. Some time off might may indeed be in order if only to plan future shoots better.

Thank you ! I'm not sure if 1:1 but I used the Kenko Pz-AF UniPlus Tube 25.
