Played around with Pixel Shift on the K-1 last night. Set up a fabric table setting bouquet and pointed the K-1 with the old M100/4 macro at it. Exposure was 8 sec @ ISO100 @ f/11 per frame. I used PS with Motion Correction just in case there was anything moving in the frame but apparently all was static. To remove all possibility of creating movement, I used a Wi-Fi connection via my Android tablet and Image Sync to trigger the shutter. This worked perfectly. The four consecutive exposures could be seen on the back LCD as they were written and processed. The final 159.5mb file was then loaded into my raw file editor (darktable v2.0.4) for post-processing. The intent was to try to see the difference between standard sharpening and over-the-top sharpening. It seems a PS file will take all the sharpening one can throw at it. Below are the 100% and 200% sharpened jpegs. A noticeable difference. Also note the complete lack of moire in a fabric that is bound to create some.

100% sharpen

200% sharpen

Thank you kind Sir !

Here is a picture of my girlfriend waiting for me to try my two lens outside, in a foggy empty school. I am testing the Sigma 35mm f1.4 and the DA* 55mm f1.4. This picture if from the Sigma.

Has the look of a proper modern lens...

Some DA*55/1.4 shots, all in FF mode within hood and vignetting isn't any problem. Full EXIFs and bigger photos from here: Ihmiset

This one is pixel shifted - I used F/1.6 and one can clearly see increased detail and IQ! She is my little sister.

My little brother

A bit PP in LR - mainly adjusting exposure and contrast as well sharpening.
I think the 55mm 1.4 is probably my favorite of the DA lenses to FF. It was already awesome for APS-C, but on FF it really shines. I think this will be my next lens in preparation for FF.

Love this, an intriguing and desirable lens.

I'm a little hesitant to post one of my first pics (#7) with my new K-1 that arrived 3 hours ago.
It's just a jpg straight out of the camera with a leftover setup from Mothers day. I did crop out a little of the curtain up top. It's a little dark because I wanted to see the noise at ISO 3200 when it was sent through auto in Lightroom.
What noise? I am so going to love playing with this camera. Too, bad I have to go to work tomorrow.

*Forgot: Lens 31mm limited, f8.0, 1/100 @I iso 3200 to compare to K5 photos with same lens a few days ago.

Thanks!
I just couldn't wait to try the new toy out.
It's a very easy camera to use right out of the box.
