I second that! The last one is superb!

Always love the little birdies....remember..no cooking!

Trying to scare the little blind orphan squirrels? ...hey FS, they're blind! ...remember?

I really like that one FS! Nice pose and great lighting!

When you get bored and you are a cheater...what do you do? You cheat! We were out at a Chinese place the other day and I took some shots of my helper and used my Toy Camera X20...does a superb job! But...this is a K1 thread so how to post one here? Put it on my ASUS 24" monitor and shoot it with the K1+ Bigma 50-500 @ 113mm, then convert it to B/W in DXO Filmpack3 !

My long time helper Old Tony. An authentic K1 shot!

Sure, it's pretty crummy, but it will get me a "Cheaters Achievement Award" from the squirrels!

For reference, the original shot is here....

Thanks James!

And what a nice trick about getting a K1 Shot in any situation

A trail into a break in the long high cliff that constitutes Capitol Reef. It was used to penetrate that barrier by early settlers who carved names, initials and some dates at several spots deeper into the cleft or canyon, behind where I was standing for this shot.

If you think that's crummy, check out Richard Avedon's work, that's with up his alley.
Yep ,it was crummy! Old Tony looks better with a FF shot from the Tammy 70-200. He can make an interesting model if I ever get the time to do some decent shots of him with good lighting.
Just a quick outside snap with the Tammy....He has had an interesting life and very hard, but he is one of the "good guys".

Thanks! Squirrels were proud of me......not sure what that is worth?

@ranchy - I like those! I'd forgotten all about duck fishing when I was a kid! Glad to see it is still done!

Yep....and I'd love to visit as many places as he has been! I'm a dry land desert loving person and those shots of his make me long for some distant travel! Wish he could find his Big Bend shots....fantastic, and a place dear to my heart! Going again this Spring if it works out!

Such a lousy day....I think I only got one shot worth fooling with...just wasn't in a shooting mood. It reached a high of 89F here and squirrels were all drunk and disorderly, so nothing there..... Birds fowling the air was about all I saw, and not many of them. I think they were all down at the lake skinny dipping? I heard two squirrels got so drunk they drowned? Not a big deal...we have thousands of them around here.

"Where did everyone go?"

Regards!

I've had my K1 for two months and am still blown away by the image quality. This sunset was taken with a 35mm F2 lens and a Cokin P series sunset filter.

Kite surfer, Kingscliff, New South Wales, this morning. K-1 with Pentax HD D-FA 150-450 f4.5-5.6. Quite a hard shot to get as having both kite and surfer in the depth of field together was a bit of hit and miss.
