I like it.......cold hard truth! However, in all fairness, you need to post the "alternative-truth" too! Get out there and find it!

Love both of those...for different reasons, both are excellent!

Fun shots! I like the lighting and the rope adds some nice texture and interest.
Not so much here....all that rope and stuff scared the little blind orphan squirrels.

Also NSFW(ish)
If that is not safe for work, you need to get a new job! I do appreciate that very little colored pencil squirrel processing will be needed on this one! Very nice looker...and fine shooting too! I personally noted that she is a little "bottom heavy" but was quickly corrected with ...."Shut your mouth!"

Another flower tasting session.
I'll just pass on a quote on this one Eaglem....."Fine shot!...but it's no Hubble!"

After that threat I got yesterday, the sap from the Peanut Tree miraculously started flowing this morning...isn't that a lucky coincidence!

It seems plentiful too!

"Only a nasty rodent critter would eat that gooey stuff."

You guys keep posting those high quality K1 shots......I enjoy! I'll keep having fun and doing what squirrels say I do best....."wasting card space".

Regards!

Love it FS! At his large "cooking" size, I fear he is a goner?

That's a lovely simple, colorful shot that stands out nicely! You are getting the hang of this photo stuff!

As for the moons shot ...you have some work to do still. Hope you don't mind me letting the squirrels process it to our perfection for you......keep trying!

When you can post your moons like this, you will have reached perfection!

No need. I already know where it is, but it's too ugly to photograph. I have to think of the safety of my new K-1.

Thanks Rupert! I'd post more squirrel shots myself, but I dare not compete with the squirrel master, and somehow my tree's lack that peanut sap?

I do agree that alternate truth is pretty ugly stuff...but it does seem "trendy"! I like WPRESTO's line at the bottom of his posts.

Squirrel Master??? Only one I've seen here with any regularity is old Norm. Squirrels tell me all the time that the kid down the street with a Rebel and a kit lens beats the hell out of me.

I would be remiss in not mentioning that I had to have mine repaired after about 2 years into my 7 year warranty.
Cracked cam barrel they said, from impact damage, and I would gladly swear on something holy that I never so much as bumped this lens. The exterior looked new still. I didnt notice anything exept the focus was a little stiff on close subjects.

It was always optically stellar, just the repair and their excuse to make me pay for it cheesed me off. Well, to be totally honest, they said they discounted the repair, but how would I know? I was still out $240...I almost wanted to sell it for spite... but after I calmed down decided to keep it because optically, I knew I would never find anything even close for the money. I bought mine as a factory refurb, hence the extended warranty (that may have proved less than helpful)

So there is full disclosure, hope it was helpful and didn't totally put you off. I still enjoy the heck out of using mine. It is a great portrait to moderate tele lens for full frame, silly sharp with great bokeh.
