Blanquette de veau. It's veal cooked in a veal stock. The stock is then thickened with flour and butter then creamed.
Well, it does sound delicious FS!

(Still beats your moon shots!)
My apology, as noted it does sound delicious...but I stick with the part about the moon shots!

Still, I'll take a Texas Chicken Fried Steak with gravy any day over gourmet delights. You just can't best 'em!:D

Here is Mrs Rupert waiting for one at one of our favorite eating places....the Cottonpatch Cafe.

If these K1 shots look "funky" it is because I cheated again and put some Fuji X10 shots on my ASUS monitor and shot them with the K1 ......to make them "authentic" K1 shots...That's what the squirrels call...Big Brain Thinking!

Regards!

I'm not sure about "funky", Rupert, but those shots do remind me of the stippled prints that were all the rage in the 1970s (or was it the 1980s?). Now, seriously, that moiré fringeing on the wall is a worry, because the Fuji sensor was supposed to eliminate it, wasn't it? You're not going to blame it on your squirrels, are you?

It wouldn't matter...they don't care what I think anyhow!

You should have seen how really bad these were before I processed them enough to even post!

Squirrels will proud I cheated ...again. They love that sort of thing!

Regards!

Saguaro National Park Last Week

Spent two days in Saguaro National Park last week while my wife was at a conference in Tucson. Here are some highlights. A little early to catch the blooms, but the pink fairy dusters were in bloom and the rain helped saturate the colors.

I saw this sunset coming together as I left work on my bike. So I raced home, grabbed my gear, drove out to the trails a couple of miles away, and climbed this hill as quickly as possible to catch the light. Kind of a hard workout but worth it for a really spectacular sunset. Plus I need to start training for a big adventure in August.
All K-1 & 15-30

Seems like one trip to Utah is going to supply scenics for the rest of my days, but over 3,000 files in the cards, if only one in seven or eight is decent, that is a lot of posts.
This spot has a name: Hite Overlook above Lake Powell. At the time the lake was still very low from the prolonged drought.

There are always a lot of very nice shots posted here...among a few damn squirrels and such...but only a few are "Spectacular!!" Those were Spectacular....hell, I may be ashamed to ever post a damn squirrel again.

Yes, I know, this gator isn't the moving kind, but I still thought he was a cool addition to the garden, heh.
