Our last outdoor adventure was at Lost Maples State Park years ago.....we decided to take the 7 mile hike up, over and down the mountain that overlooks the Park. My assistant that carried my heavy lens bag was Mrs Rupert...who started out all smiles!

(Pardon the IQ...It is a cheater screen shot with the K1/Rokinon 85mm of an old image....squirrels told me to do it!)

We hiked up the mountain, across the mountain. and down the mountain...and every step was uphill!

We crawled the last 50 yards to the parking lot where the Jeep was parked, Mrs Rupert threw off my bag and said "I quit, don't ever ask me to carry a damn thing for you again!"

...and Mrs Rupert never curses!

So, maybe I will just stay here in my comfy little office and drink my coffee/iced tea and eat my snacks while snapping a few squirrels and birdies through the windows.....while enjoying the fine landscapes you and others post here!

Just thinking about that trip and the miserable hike makes me hurt all over! I'd love to take the K1 there....but I know better now!
