Didn't notice the the cumulation of most unlikely things in the original, because of the captivating picture: A Pixel Shift portrait, Pixel Shift for b&w, an apo-chromatic lens for b&w, and a PS build of RT on MacOs. Wow!

And a single from the same day.

Thank you.
Just looking at your raptor pics...again...both exceptional. But # 1 is particularly wonderful in my opinion. Very marketable I would think. If I recall didn't you get the pix at a raptor centre ? I think if so, this picture would be an excellent choice for them to display.

I embraced the moment Marie was just relaxing during her yoga exercises...
Nevertheless, the output 1440p picture can't do justice to phenomenal skills of both Lens, Pixel Shift resolution and how RawTherapee manage it ..
Thank you...

This may be a dumb comment but surely within the limits of the quality which can be posted, every camera on the market over about $400 is going to produce the same picture

So this is really a competition among photographing skills and/or who managed to fly to an exotic location.

There is truth in that. I have posted images taken with a K1, and also images taken with a Panasonic shirt-pocket P&S, and on my computer screen, there is little or no discernable difference in IQ. After all, the monitors we use are most commonly limited to 1024, far, far below the resolution of any current production DSLR.
