Hi all,

Some action shot from yesterday's gig

Rajasthani group DIVANA played in Paris at "La Cartoucherie" for a killing set!

Usual Pentax Zoom Combo : Pentax 24-70mm or Pentax 70-200mm. Stage lighting was great.

I've never really been happy with any of my pictures of the Moorhens here in Florida (some say they have a new name, the Common Gallinule but they are still Moorhen's to me)
The high contrast of black feathers to that red beak shield is so hard in most lighting to not blow out or go dark and lose detail.

I was pretty happy with this semi overcast day capture of this humble Moorhen, and double happy that I got a two-fer with the out of focus egret for some added interest in the background.

You've got really beautiful fluffy orange bees, her outfit perfectly fits the color of the flowers. Nice light and background again.

Thanks JensE! The funny thing is, these wildflowers are around a run off retention pond that most people ignore... it takes a little work to park and hike to it, and it's not much to look at, but there are some interesting flora/fauna&critters around there, so I check the site once in a while with my K-1. I have to blur the background, it's so ugly! LOL!

Thanks Rupert! You must have the happiest squirrels in Texas. Always cute poses. My dog likes peanut sap, but I get mine in the frozen foods section, Purina ingeniously have put it into "Frosty Paws" ice cream cups. Hey, it gets hot down here in the Tropics!

I make them all the time for my pooch.
1 quart low or non-fat yogurt, 1 banana, 1 TBS. peanut butter, 1 TBS. honey.
Blend, pour into small cups, freeze.
Not a K-1 pic of our Brooke's first one.

I'll back out now let this thread of some fine photos continue.
