I could not resist joining in. Single-in-April shot for the day is done, so why not reach for another lens just because?

These were taken with the Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 50mm f/1.4 and lighting from an AF540FGZ-II, bounced, just to see for myself how it behaves on a full-frame DSLR.

I think we have a lot of promise here. I really, REALLY curse the fact that this camera doesn't have analogue TTL, as it would make shooting with Takumars and flash so much easier and not so much a question of trial and (mostly) error. We shall see what happens as spring rolls into summer and I can take lenses like this one outside.

Cool Bruce! Smoooooth yet sharp. (the pics, not the beer, haven't tried those ) There is a guy on DPR doing focus stacking with a step motor controlled gizmo for hundreds of stacked shots to make an image... I keep wondering how much more interesting his work would be with pixel shift. heh.
