Thought so, looks like you have a green thumb... I really like the wide open rendering. All that money we spend looking for sharp lenses, and they we end up liking the dreamy softies, go figure. Heh.

About time I put up todays set before the busy weekend. Hope I get a chance to go out and play. The sun is back!

Now that is absolutely perfect! What was the colour processing used here, Frederic?

You have the most seriously aggressive sharpening I've seen yet in your PP workflow. I've enjoyed your shots though.. one of the reasons I started looking at a Tamron 70-200mm is from your shots with it. So thanks!!

Hah! Thanks! Yeah, sometimes I look back at a batch and wonder how much caffeine I had when doing post that day.

Not much of an excuse, but maybe a reason, a lot of these insect shots are highly cropped, I mean, maybe down 90% or more into nearly 100% pixel peep territory, so it gets hard to hide any attempt to manipulate the image. Then Flickr adds its own sharpening mess to the shot when you link to a resized image.

The real answer is prolly for me to get closer or use a longer lens but these darn flighty little things wont stay put in the frame. joking aside, thanks for the heads up, it is always good to get some open honest feedback to know when I am pushing things a bit far in PP.

I've posted this one before, DFA 150-450, however I printed it on canvas at 150dpi at 24"x24" and it came out quite good, so I put it in a local Art and Photographic exihibition (750 works) and it just got second place (photography) .... and a $1,000 prize.... was about a 13mp crop at iso 2,000.
