This is a bit of a rough draft - there are some stuff ups with photoshops merging, the mistakes are evident in the right half of the image visible on the horizon - this, is why I prefer to hand blend panoramics.
Have you tried ICE ? Microsoft's Image Composite Editor

The K-1's (or any camera's ) ability to give clean images at Pixel Peeping level is often poo poo'd by those that say "who needs that? just pixel peepers and measubaters" don't really get that sometimes, you want or HAVE to shoot wider than you want to get the subject in frame, then work with a crop that might be at pixel level. This is why I never got cozy with the first generation APSC 24mp sensor. And also why the new KP results have got my attention... this might have been a better shot with a KP and the same lens... less cropping and more pixels on the subject... I wouldn't have said that about the previous gen 24mp sensors.
You're totally right ! And don't forget the square mode, terrific !

Hi everyone. I was very "quiet" in last month My K1 DFA 24-70 and 60-250 went to service centre as 1. AF work very very inconsistent. 2. picture quality was bad. DFA 24-70 worse than cheap F35-70. Yes I made a lot of test shots. It was my second attempt to service. DFA 24-70 shown also some decentring of lenses as left side was worse than right. So they work hard and I hope correct everything. Meanwhile I bought ultra sharp DFA 50mm 2.8 and next festival started. This time baroque music, exhausting but not as bigger event.
So what I got for your:
1. 76mpix vertical panorama 3 shots, pixelshift. RAW -> DCU 5.7 ->AutoPanoGiga ->PS + NIK -> Export from C1 So lot of soft involved.
DCU is sooo slow I'm feeling like Sigma user :/

Frederic, I cannot forget square mode when I keep seeing you post beauties like the DA55 shot!

I miss our friend the Soligor, if it has fallen out of favor, you can always send it here to me, then you will miss it and appreciate it more when (if???) I send it back.

Great set, that crust on the bread looks so appetizing. Mmmmmm...

Sorry to hear of your warranty woes, but that panorama with the DFA50 looks like it's working out nice for you!

Coloring Easter Eggs

We've been a day early this year. Some hard-boiled eggs are colored in multiple dyes, masked using wax for patterns.

Some eggs (shells) are painted to be used as front yard decor:

All shot using the fairly new to me FA 77mm, out of camera JPGs, just resized.

I went to Griffith observatory last night to try out the K-1. I have to say I'm impressed. These 2 shots of Downtown L.A. we almost the same. The first is a standard shot the second is a pixel shift version
ISO 6400 105mm
Non Pixelshift 1.3sec @ f/11
PixelShift 2.Sec @ f/14
Processed identically in Lightroom.

If it's original all I can say it's 1969 or latter, the rope hood latch must have been a option!

I agree. Looks like my '69 VW 1500 Deluxe that I had in '69 and '70. Sold it to fund university. Before I sold it, I took it to the drags...ran 19.4 seconds @ 68.5 mph, according to the Chrondek clocks. Certainly not a Corvette L-88 time, but not bad for a V-Dub back then.

K1+K24/2.8 again

I just find that bit of sensor shift for composition adjustment invaluable, even when its only a bit.
My widest lens I brought along that day was the 24mm.
The shift plus a bit of tilt down of the camera allowed me to get away with less noticeable keystone distortion while getting more of the construction below which provided a foreground element to the shot.
W/o showing enough of the construction below, the shot would be rather pointless, imo.
