The last two are my favs....all very nice! Flowers are getting scarce here....already in the mid 90sF and they die quick in the heat.

Anyone recognize this little guy? I've never seen one of these around here. I did the best I could to get a decent a shot...these are crops of about 15% of the original FF shots.

Whatever he was, he was hungry! He ate like crazy until a damn squirrel came along and ran him off......very tiny little guy and
in and out in a flash.

Regards!

Another great series of flowers from Normhead. Sharp and colourful.

If it's a Stone Fish it's not only ugly but deadly as well.

It may have been a stone fish. It was in a tank with a "lump fish" - - even better camouflaged, uglier (depending on what you consider ugly), and probably closely related, but I did not see a label to identify the fish in the picture.

Wildlife photography is all about seeing without being seen. Just pretend you did not see him, otherwise he might be upset.

Thank you. Here are two more from a sunset in Castlebar, Ireland (with DFA 24-70). I would have gone for exposure blending on this one, but I didn't have a tripod with me.

Stunning . . . almost too much beauty to take in, in single images. Keep up the great work. I have not used zoom lenses very often, but your work with the 24-70 could be a mind changer!

I believe that it is a female painted bunting. The males are quite colorful little critters.
