Chapel on the hill at night with a backdrop of lightening inside dark clouds.
OOC Jpeg crop (jpeg was set, in a hurry, forgot to switch back to raw), K1 with DFA24-70, interval shooting mode. Don't know if those looks good and which one is the best, at least it was a rare moment frozen by the camera.

Skeleton of a barn. Not sure about today, but there was a time when builders/contractors really wanted big well-aged barn beams such as those exposed here. Used in new buildings sometimes structurally but in many cases for "atmosphere."

Yes! Still exists. I once met a guy whose business was to collect aged wood from farm house here in the alps, cleanup and resell those beautiful pieces of wood for deco in new houses and apartments. It's getting harder and harder to find I suppose.

Camera settings APS.C, focus area changed to 9 and camera in burst mode, the lens is the HD FA 28-70mm.
A good series, but I liked the fifth photo more.
I do not understand why was necessary to use the APS.C mode with the FF lens D FA 28-70mm

Anyway, time to formally introduce my self as a K-1 owner by posting a couple of pictures from the coast of the Waddensea.

Last week we went with some colleagues from the FotoClub DOKAMol from Belgium to the motorcycle sport training center in Lommel, Belgium. We had six people on the team, 2 with Canon FF, 3 with Nikon FF and myself as the only Pentax K1. This was a challenge for the Pentax to try to beat the Canon/Nikon guys with there fast action cameras, and as been discussed many times in this forum, that the K1 does not perform well in the fast action auto Focus etc....
Yesterday we had a session to review the shots from each team member and believe or not, the Pentax shoots came out very well, color, DR and sharpness are just amazing. Take a look at some pictures from the K1, nothing was photo-shopped, some pictures are cropped, that's all.

Those are really good action shots. You could clean up some of the blown highlights, but otherwise they look worthy of publishing. The last shot is the most visually striking, to me, but it's a pity that the focus wasn't on the closest rider.

Very aware of that Walter....My Doc said this strain can take months to totally defeat....Using the same high powered drug that is used for anthrax or the plague....and he said both might be easier to treat than this. Nasty stuff!

Or they find my moon shots great
FS....I hate to tell you this, but knowing how sensitive you are, and wanting to keep you shooting and not giving up....I have been paying people to like your moon shots. Even then, most refuse to like them for any amount of money. Your other shots are always praised, but you need to dump that moon shooting!

BTW- Wonderful bee shot, just perfect! Love that little birdie too!

Anybody missing some handsome squirrels? Probably not, but it's all I have today!

"Just waiting for that sap to flow!"

"A litle dribbled out of the spout his morning."

"I got every sticky drop of it!"

"Except a little dab I dropped on the ground."

"Thats all folks!"

Regards!
