Yes, there might even have been some sports event where they mixed up our flags or anthems at the awards ceremony.
It's a classic, we meet someone from another country:
"Where are you from?"
"Heuum, I'm from Austria"
"Ahhh Australia!"
"Nooooo, Austria"

I had a friend who was congratulated on being able to speak good English.

Great portrait . . . I am betting it is the one taken with the 77 lens--which my wife calls our magic lens! Beautiful model also.
Thank you both. Yes, it was the FA 77

Excellent, really well done! I like the first two and the white one best. How did you do the post processing?

I spent 42 years as a business school professor. I will never forget one student who said she wanted to visit Latin America so she could hear people speaking Latin. :>)

Excellent series. I'm not a 'car' man, but I find car photography really interesting. I enjoy seeing what photographers do in terms of areas to focus on and framing/composition. Then there's also the fun motion stuff.

Excellent work, I've thought about doing this, would love a 'behind the scenes' pick to this series :P

For most of us living in cities, it's nice to have a chance to look up those photos, it's a window over countryside landscape as if we were there but without having to be there.
Glad you like them. I don't mind having to be here for you; you enjoy the city for me.

Landscape of Austria (small but not to be confused with Australia)

The summer pasture season is open. Shepherd distributing some grain along the way.
No shrimps on the barbie there!
Nice shots.

Erictator,
Holy cow Eric, I have never seen anything like that, hard to believe it is real. Excellent shot, you and Frederic have me wanting a 200 or 300 lens. This photo stuff is so cool & so much fun.
Best Regards, Bob
Thanks Bob! I hadn't seen a passionflower in person before either, it definitely has that other-worldly vibe to me.

OK, to continue our friendly bee rivalry with my buds Frederic & eaglem (and staying in the DA*300 close up theme, that's a two'fer)...

I will see your beautiful bokeh enhanced and pollen sprinkled bee's and raise you one pollen covered bee on a red, burgundy & yellow flower canvass.

Ricoh nostalgia

Just got my K-1 in the mail yesterday, and my 70-200 arrived today. This is the very first test shot, with some extra Ricoh nostalgia snuck in there.

(also my first post on Pentaxforums, hi)

Eric,
I still keep looking back at that Passionflower, that thing is majestic. Your last Bee shot, my vote is you are the winner. I went back and looked at Frederic's & eaglem, did a view and enlarge, they need to work much harder to match yours. The overall detail & that flower are striking.
Hattifnatt,
The portrait shot with the 77 is very nice and the lady is beautiful. Your shots from Phoenix Park are really good, in particular the first with the dark clouds and the contrast of the different trees, a very nice composition. Most folks would not think an overcast day would make for beautiful scenes.
K David,
excellent shots
mattb123,
Lovely sunset, beautiful total scene
clackers,
very good photo and a very nice model
biz-engineer,
Gorgeous landscape shots, love the composition and framing with both, but the shepherd/cattle photo looks like a beautiful old painting, I would like a copy of that framed & hanging on my wall.
Patriot,
I am a lover of natural sculpture, nice Gargoyle shot Mike
Best Regards, Bob
