I agree, and that was why the way to spell it was of such interest. Meant I could look up the definition so I can use it correctly rather than only using it with my inferred definition, which could be wrong. I did wonder if it was like the English 'mizzle', to describer a particular quality of 'drizzle', - it could have described a particular kind of dreariness.
And the auto typo guys in America do not include either word in their list of 'permitted' words.
