Tried to get this idea in one glass but it didn't work, so I used two glasses.

Eric, incredible shots of the Kobuta bird, love that color <snip>
This photo of the white butterfly on the field mustard flower was taken with the 150-450 lens and I am so amazed at the sharpness & detail obtained. First shot FF, second with close crop & third with super close crop. You can see the structure & texture of the wings and the fine feather edge.
Best Regards, Bob
Thanks Bobby! I thought it was a scarlet ibis, but I'm not a bird expert. I know kubota tractors are orange, if that was the joke, I am definitely chuckling with you on that one (darn expensive to fix too... don't hot rod over the bumps where your foot flutters the clutch unless you like buying transmission rebuilds!)

That is a nice review list. Feedback is always appreciated by those who take the time.

At first I was thinking that is a moth, but no fuzzy antennae, so yeah, cool white butterfly! That big zoom looks like a keeper!

Testing how the K-1 fares as a travel camera in some more challenging environments.

First shot is with the SMC-M 28mm 2.8, an infrared long-exposure of the team screen washing sediments in the Amazon basin to recover Miocene fossils (~20 million years old), shot with a Hoya R72 filter.

Second shot is some exploring down another river with an old Mercedes Unimog to scout for more fossil localities, shot with SMC-M 28mm 2.8 as well, with green button metering.

I've followed your work in the Pentax Forum for awhile and you have a very imaginative take when it comes to subject material and the beautiful and unique photographs that you produce.

Great picture. Well done.

A spotted touch-me-not. Impatiens capensis. So called because if you touch the seed pod they explode scattering the seeds.

Thanks jabobby and another fine demonstration of the crop capability on the K-1.
