a green bug

IggzDaloc, that is such a fantastic shot with that 24-70 lens, awesome scene & great shooting.
Eric, love the bird shot, when I do a view & enlarge it looks even better.
Frederic, superb shooting again and I also like the LE shot, plan to be getting back in to those in the future.
repaap, I really like that first water shot, a relaxing scene with great IQ.
acoufap, your third shot is different & pretty cool.
gaweidert, nice touch-me-not shots, my nephew took about 12 of those shots last weekend, I have plenty of them here.
This is another photo I took with my nephews DFA 100/2.8 macro, not as good as the bee shot I posted the other day but it is an interesting looking bug & at least a decent shot. The bee shot was the best of 3 taken, this bug is the best of 1 shot, what an awesome lens. Wish he would have left that lens here, but oh well when he returns I will have more fun again.
Best Regards, Bob

How'd you accomplish this shot?

I've seen this style of photography before, I'm always impressed by it, your work here one of the better ones I've seen! How's the shot achieved may I ask? Ach... i should prolly just google that...
Thanks, that's very kind of you. The setup is not very complicated. Just a glossy table and a neutral background. Lighting are two YN560iii both on the background. Leaving a gap between the table and the background makes it easier.

Move the glass with one hand to make it splash. Trigger the camera with a cable trigger. Make a clean shot without liquid first and edit in the splashes as you like. I used four frames. The top left and top right are rotated from two other frames. The bottom left and right is how it naturally splashes out of the glass, like an s-curve (one separate frame each).

61 38 seconds! Nice to have a ND filter when you need one! Nice moving clouds. That 2 flowers with the DA*200 are keepers too... Nice set.

Thanks Bob! I try not to post too big, but sometimes they are so much better when you can pixel peep, heh.
Hard to tell if that is just a very young hopper or some kind of aphid family thing... either way, he is doing his best to stay camouflaged. You need to have an "extended borrow" of that lens.
