Still shooting in Crop Mode. On any previous body I would have missed these as I was drinking coffee and waiting for the Bigma to lock focus....on the K1 it is Jackrabbit fast!
These are quick jittery birds...they don't wait long for you to focus.

I'm getting lots of shots I used to miss...love the K1!

Regards!

Thanks JVA...the K1 is well worth the wait, you will love it! If you were close I'd let you use mine for a day or two to get the feel of it....wonderful!

Yes, Otis will pose as long as it takes if he is well rewarded and the shots are good enough to swell his little head even more!

Regards!

Good photograph. I often wanted to take a useful picture of this building for travel brochures but never could get this nice perspective as you did.

As I said before, one has to be pretty talented to produce soft images with this camera.

Bl**dy hell, the red plastic flowers hanging off the building were there some 10 years ago and they still have not wilted. That is impressive also.

Cheers

Thanks.

Ha..ha.. I guess they change the flowers to keep them 'fresh'

The resolution is absolutely incredible across the frame. No fuzzy stuff whatsoever!

Can't se any mustache either. This is the lens with mustache distortion right? Fixed with lens profile?
I did not correct for distortion this time as its not apparent.
This lens does have the most distortion I've ever seen.
But that said. its easy enough to correct with user made profiles in LR which can be downloaded.

That has absolutely phenomenal detail. Thanks for sharing. I always figured the once people got the hang of pixel shift we'd see some images like this. The image demonstrates a perfect application of what PS can do, I'll have to bookmark it.
Thanks, Norm.

Yes, I always had the feeling that pixel shift would be good for my use, just that with the K1 on the horizon, I did not get the K3II to try it out before this.
Very happy that it works and works well.

The bad weather interfered with my sunset pictures but was a nice first test with my K-1 with the new Pentax 15-30. This is a pixel-shift image with moderate wind. Turned out ok with just a few spots of movement in the grass.

Is it just my imagination or do many K1 images have a "look" that's a bit different from any previous Pentax?

Improved dynamic range?
